ALL CHOKED UP
OK, put your hands up if you wore chokers back in the 90’s? I definitely was a big choker fan back then and was so happy to see it being brought back on trend with the likes of Kendall Jenner, Kim Kardashian West, Rihanna, Kate Hudson and so many other celebrities. This time round the chokers look better than ever! There’s are so many more varieties and styles than ever before, that if you’re like me, you may need a special section in your closet dedicated just to chokers!!
The choker began its return along with all the other 90’s influence staples such as slip dresses and grunge throw backs in the last AW16 seasons runway and has continued on into this SS16 season.
Now there are some (very) expensive chokers out on the market but seriously you can find amazing cheaper chokers around that just look as great, if not better than the expensive brands. And if you’re still strapped for cash, you can make your own, with even the most simplest ribbon or even a shoe lace (!!) tied around your neck. It’s that simple! #winning!
