Itβs not always easy to prepare for a long journey, especially if youβre going to be far from home without means of getting your essentials abroad.
You want to make sure youβve brought everything you need, but that can be hard to do when youβre trying to pack light. There are some things though, that you absolutely must not go without, else itβs going to make your traveling much more difficult.
Of course, when youβre packing light youβre not going to want to drag a big suitcase around with you everywhere you go, so shopping around or going to an online seller for a small bag is advisable if you donβt already have one!
You should keep in mind everything that you need to bring, and make sure that itβs not going to weigh you down throughout your journey. Comfort is important, and youβre going to tire fast without it!Β

Extra Passports
One of the biggest fears when traveling abroad is that youβre going to lose your means of returning home, and for that, you need your passport. Thatβs not to say that you canβt get a passport when abroad, but it can be much more difficult and quite frustrating if youβre only finding out about your missing passport when you need it.
If you donβt want to go investing in another passport as you feel you wonβt need it, it can help if you pack extra passport photos. While it can be a hassle to find somewhere to get another passport, having photos already prepared will save you a lot of time and trouble!
Phone Charger
Phone chargers are easy to forget, and it can be a real pain if you find yourself with a dying battery in the time of need. You donβt want to have to severely limit your phone usage while youβre away, nor do you want to have to invest in a new one when you get there – they can be pretty expensive! Not only that, theyβre small and easy to carry with you, so a phone charger is a must!Β
Adaptors
With your phone charger, itβs important to remember that not every country will have the same power outlets like the one that you live in, so checking beforehand and picking up an adaptor is a must!
Maybe even multiple adaptors if youβre planning to bring more than one appliance with you; some people like to bring a laptop with them to work with too. Adaptors arenβt too expensive and can be a lifesaver if you end up in a position of need!

Spare Cash
The last thing you want is to be caught out without any money at hand, or in a place where you need to buy something but your card isnβt welcome.
Taking some spare cash with you wherever you go is a must, so long as you know how to keep it safe and secure!
Think of it like safety money, you donβt have to spend it if you canβt afford it, but it will be there for you in an emergency!
